Doxxing
Doxxing is the deliberate publishing of someone's private information — such as a home address or school — without consent, often to harass or intimidate. Parents should know how to help a child limit exposed personal details and where to seek help; the official resource is linked below.
The harm is rarely in any single disclosure but in the assembly: an address, a school name and a photograph are each ordinary in isolation and locating in combination. That is also why the exposure is often invisible to the person it concerns until it is complete.
Whether a given disclosure is unlawful depends on the jurisdiction and on how the information was obtained, and is not settled by the resource cited here.
